    What Is Scoliosis Directed Exercise?

    Beside Bracing, One Spine also offer Scoliosis Directed Exercises to our patients with scoliosis. Scoliosis Exercise is different compare to other rehabilitation exercises.

    Scoliosis Directed Exercises is a physical therapy approach to scoliosis treatment. It is based on exercises tailored to each patient’s spine curvature. Every patient practice scoliosis exercises differently depends on the location of the scoliosis curve. In One Spine, we practice the method known as Schroth Method.

    What Is Schroth Method?

    The Schroth Method is an exercise approach customized for each patient to return the curved spine to a more natural position.

    The goal of Schroth exercises is to :
    1) De-rotate
    2) Elongate
    3) Stabilize

    the spine in a three-dimensional plane.

    During the exercises, we focus on :

    • Restoring muscular symmetry and alignment of posture
    • Breathing into the concave side of the body
    • Teaching patient to be aware of their own posture
